"Now everyone slide down the Waffle Cone Slide!"

Another successful field trip! I just love giving tours of our amazing Ice Cream Factory! It's my favorite part of my job. Well, actually my favorite part is taste-testing all the new ice cream flavors every Friday afternoon. But the tours are definitely second best! This time it was Ms. Bella's class that came for a visit. They've never been here before, so I gave them the Deluxe Tour, complete with a slide down the Waffle Cone Slide and a ride on the Marshmallow Trolley! Good thing we got the trolley back from the mechanic that morning. Just in time! It kept on overheating, so we were always dealing with some really roasted, toasted marshmallows! It got pretty ooey and gooey there for a while. Which would normally be a good thing when it comes to marshmallows, but not when you're trying to drive one! But now the ol' Marshmallow Trolley is puffing right along! I got to show the kids all the neat contraptions and funny characters we have working at the factory. They loved watching the Hippo-Flamingos performing on the Pink Icing Rink. But when they tried to skate on it themselves, it did get a little too slippery for some of them. I even have a wall that needs to be repaired now, for some reason... And that silly Bulldog-Chimpanzee, Tommy "Salami" McGee, absolutely loved the Split-O-Matic! Who wouldn't love a Speedy Banana Machine anyway? They make the fastest and yummiest banana splits in the whole world! They should be more careful where they throw their banana peels, though....but that's a whole other story! Those kids ate so much stuff I can't believe they were able to walk themselves back to their bus! Should I really have given away that many free samples? I know they sure loved it, but I think I may have ruined their appetites! Oh well, it was all worth it just to see their smiley--and sticky--faces! -Petey
